Copyrights, Permissions, and Citations

Researchers who plan eventual publication of their work are urged to make inquires concerning overall restrictions on publications before beginning their research. Copyright has been assigned to the Boyer Center Archives for most previously unpublished materials in the collections. All requests to publish or quote from archival materials must be submitted in writing to the archivist.

If permission to publish is granted, the location of the cited records should be indicated in the published work, as follows:

[Item Name/Description], [Record Group Name], The Ernest L. Boyer Center Archives, 91ÖÆƬ³§, Mechanicsburg, Pa.

The Boyer Center Archives also requires a copy of the finished work, in all physical formats (print, CD/DVD, etc.), in which material from its collection is reproduced or significantly quoted; items should be mailed to the address listed below to the attention of the archivist.
