91ÖÆƬ³§

Most AuD students major in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, applied health science or biopsychology. With early and careful planning, other major choice may be appropriate. See Martha Stigelman for further details.

Required Undergraduate Courses:

• 1/2 year Basic Sciences (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics)
• 1/2 year Physics or Hearing Science
• 1/2 year English
• 1/2 year Mathematics or Statistics
• 1/2 year Social Sciences

Note:

• All coursework must be completed with a 'C' or better.
• The time that it takes a student to earn his/her undergraduate degree from 91ÖÆƬ³§ varies. Some students are able to complete the degree in fewer than four years depending on a variety of factors including summer school attendance, AP test scores and college dual-enrollment during high school.
• Regardless of the timing, the undergraduate degree must be completed prior to matriculating at Salus University.

1. Complete the Pre-Audiology curriculum at 91ÖÆƬ³§, which must consist of a minimum of 120 semester hours of undergraduate education including the required prerequisites. This agreement is not tied to a particular major and thus the choice of major is up to the student.
2. A student may complete the Bachelor's degree in less than 4 years as long as all requirements of the agreement are met.
3. A maximum of one gap year may be taken between graduation from 91ÖÆƬ³§ and matriculation to Salus University.
4. Transfer students are eligible for this program. The majority of the required courses must be taken at 91ÖÆƬ³§.
5. International Students are eligible for this program, pending official documentation to study in the United States. Official foreign credential evaluation and English language proficiency exam may be required.
6. Students must have an overall GPA of 3.0/4.0 at the time of application.
7. Applicants are required to submit a completed application to the Communication Science and Disorders Centralized Application Service (CSDCAS), including scores results of the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) and required letters of evaluation. (50 percentile rankings or higher recommended on the GRE exam).
8. Shadow a practicing audiologist(s) for a minimum of one day (or 7.5 hours) in order to be familiar with the role of the audiologist as a member of the healthcare team.
