Admission requirements vary by institution so you should research programs of interest. In general, requirements include:

• 1 year general biology
• Anatomy and physiology
• 1 year general chemistry
• 1 year organic chemistry
• 1 year introductory or general physics
• Mathematics
• 1 year English
• Courses in social sciences or humanities

Application Timeline

Pharmacy school directly after 91ÖÆƬ³§:

• Required courses must be completed by end of the first semester of senior year
• Apply in the summer between junior and senior year

Standardized Test

• The Pharmacy College Admissions Test (PCAT) is required by approximately 2/3 of all pharmacy schools.
• The PCAT is a specialized test that helps identify qualified applicants to pharmacy colleges. It measures general academic ability and scientific knowledge necessary for graduate-level pharmaceutical education.
• The test is offered on one or more dates in July, September, October, November, and January.
